B.Sc. (Nautical Science) 3 Year Course

- Under Technical Collaboration with the Alagappa University, Tamil Nadu
- 3 Years Compulsory Residential Course
This course will lead the candidates to become the Captain of the ship. Captain of the ship is also referred as Master mariner. On successful completion of this pre-sea training, the candidates are eligible to become nautical Deck Cadets on board a ship. The leading international shipping companies are regularly conducting campus interviews at our Academy for the job placement. The academy assists necessary guidance for placement for successful meritorius students.
This course consists of six semesters. The B.Sc (Nautical Science) degree will be awarded by the University on the successful completion of Three years duration. After 3 years, the cadets will be joining as the Trainee Cadet Officers on board the ship. They will have to obtain 12 months sea experience. On completion of 12 months sea experience, they will be promoted directly as SECOND OFFICER without any further examinations. With further sea service & exams, they will be promoted to Chief Officer and then becoming Captain of the ship.

- After 3 YEARS B.Sc. Nautical Science Course Join As Officer Trainee Cadet with B.sc Degree.
- After 1 Year Sea Experience & Passing the 2nd Mate Exam, Promoted as 2nd Officer.
- Salary $ 3000
- With further Sea Experience & Passing Chief Mate Exam get Promoted to chief Officer.
- Salary $ 6000
- To be Promoted as Captain.
- Salary upto $ 10,000
Admission For B.Sc. (Nautical Science) – 3 Year Course
ELIGIBILITY | Pass in HSC / (10+2) From a Recognized Board with 60% Average in PCM (Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics Subject). (or) B.sc in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics or Electronics with Physics as individual subject in one of the years with an average of not less than 55% marks in the Final Year. (or) BE (or) B.Tech Degree. 50% Marks in English either 10th or 12th. |
AGE LIMIT | Maximum 25 Yrs (Maximum age 30 years for SC/ST candidates& 28 YEARS FOR 0BC). |
VISION | No Color Blindness, 6/6 Vision in each eye. No Eye Glasses permitted. |
The B.Sc. (Nautical Science) Students who have scored 60% PCM and above in 10+2, can appear their second mate competency examination as per TEAP Manual flow diagram no: II/1-1(A).
